ECVEDD Annual Reports

The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) guidelines emphasize that performance measures are essential to gauge our progress in implementing our CEDS Plan and assessing its impact on the regional economy over time.

Annually, the Steering Committee’s staff conducts an evaluation using the Measures of Success (detailed in the annual reports) to assess the East Central Vermont Economic Development District’s
progress on the listed outcomes (titled “Performance Outcomes”). The evaluation is reported in qualitative and in quantitative terms when possible. This process uses state, federal and regional data sources, alongside input from ECVEDD partners. Based on the evaluation results, the CEDS Plan gets updated.

The evaluation is divided into six sections, each focusing on a specific theme that contributes to the ECVEDD region’s economic vitality (e.g., “A Robust and Ready Workforce”, “Quality of Life and Place”). Each section contains an analysis pertaining to its theme with accompanying tables for further reference. The last section, “Regional Performance Outcomes,” assesses the evaluation’s results brought about by the CEDS Plan’s implementation.
